I can remember my sophomore year at Steinbrenner and it was my first time announcing baseball. Most of the guys didn't really talk to me or approach me at first, but I remember Ty coming up to me after a game all excited, telling me he enjoyed the way I announced his name ... "Number 19, Ty Neuuuuuuuuhaus" ... and it made me feel great. He was always there for his teammates and those that worked for the team and that always stuck out to me. There will always be a place in my heart when I'm at a baseball field. Ty was a special person and was never afraid to crack a joke. We all miss him dearly and I know somewhere high above, he's playing the game he loves the most. - Jeff Odom
