Such a blessing

Ty and I became friends when I was going into my junior year at Steinbrenner. Three days into the school year I had emergency spinal surgery. I had met Ty through friends the summer before because they would all be playing ball the next year together. I was out of school for 10 weeks before I could actually start my junior year. Those 10 weeks were the hardest of my life and without fail Ty came over everyday after school before practice to sit next to my bed and tell me the gossip of Steinbrenner High. He was the rock of my life during that time and I could have never thanked him enough for supporting me and comforting me through the difficulties I faced. Ty lit up an entire room when he walked in. Him and I were teacher assistants for our favorite teacher Mr. Rocca where we would sit in the stock room and just eat popcorn and shoot the bull. He was never hesitant to tell you how he felt and he always gave his honest, respected opinion. He could be goofy or serious depending on the day but he was absolutely always pleasant to be around. I know we all are mourning his death and are having difficulties with it but I know in my heart that Ty would never want that. He was a true child of God and believed so much in his afterlife of paradise with God. He will absolutely never know how much of a blessing he was in my life and I could never explain how much I cherished our friendship. I love you Ty to the moon and back, I miss you more and more everyday and I can't wait to see you again one day. Rest in peace babe Love Always, Ali Strawbridge
